A comedy performance with the guys wearing kilts and the girls probably stronger than the guys when it comes to drinking the Irish ale. That's not all. It turns out there are unique people performing two different dances by their two different halves of body among the actors of Kyiv Modern Ballet Theater. One half of their body performs the modern choreography based on the stable folk foundation, while the other half demonstrates the classic dances, even more, on the tips of the toes!
This is based on the plot: since the old times, the young women are craving for attention of the young men, but the latter just want ale. Saint Patrick could have been glad but this shouldn't go on month after month. And one of the girls looked into the future, that is, our time, and could see the wonder: a ballet dancer in the dazzling white tunic crossing the stage with the finest pas de bourée on the tips of her toes, brighter than the northern snow and the stars, solemn as a bride, and fateful as a fairy godmother. Since that time, the girl knows what to do to make the best man want to be with her. He will hardly exceed her in dancing. Moreover, after a few glasses of ale.

«In vino veritas» («The truth is in wine») - so goes the ancient wise saying. «In pivo veritas» («The truth is in beer») - the creators of the production correct, jokingly. This light alcoholic spectacle proposed to your attention was produced solely to quench the author's and the performers' unrestricted thirst for dancing. Whatever similarity to actual life is accidental. Whatever conceptual conclusions, analytical calculations and the parallels with related arts are encouraged and welcome. Besides… Well, that will do.

У повітрі бриніла довгоочікувана радість, гідна зустрічі виживших істот на Ноєвому ковчезі – всіх, хто нарешті опинився на спектаклі, мов на острівці, де вирує життя і б’є невгамовне джерело любові!

Раду Поклітару поставив нову виставу на одну дію «Дев’ять побачень» на романтичну музику Фрідеріка Шопена. А поряд з ним – по контрасту – ще один одноактний балет із назвою «In pivo veritas». Цей іронічний спектакль – парафраз на тему знаменитого стародавнього висловлювання «Істина у вині» Поклітару поставив багато років тому на традиційну ірландську музику.
