On the eve of the holidays, when the air is filled with Christmas bustle and the hope for miracles, “Kyiv Modern Ballet” invites you to see the most fantastic theatrical fairy tale of this winter — the ballet-journey “A Minute Before Christmas” to music by C. Saint-Saëns and “Carol of the Bells”.
The premiere of the ballet-journey is scheduled for: 21, 22, 23 December 2023 and from 02 to 06 January 2024 on the stage of the Kyiv cultural cluster «Krakiv» (Rusanivska Embankment, 12).
The production team of the ballet «A Minute Before Christmas»: librettist – Oksana Taranenko, choreographer-director – Serhii Kon, author of the video content – Olha Nikitina, project director – Radu Poklitaru, Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine.
The ballet «A Minute Before Christmas» is a journey into a world of magic and wonder, where the story begins with reality but quickly turns into a world of illusions, where truth intertwines with fiction, and the fantastical mingles with the everyday.
Will the protagonist be able to overcome all the obstacles, cross the threshold of reality, pass through all the barriers of the mysterious elements? Will he be able to conquer his fears and turn them into the brightest dreams? Every step towards finding the answers to these questions is filled with belief in miracles, inspiration and an immense love for Christmas.
