Myroslav Chernous

• Graduated from the Kyiv State Choreographic College in 2013.
• Earned a bachelor’s degree at the National Academy of Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts in 2015, majoring in choreography.
• Since 2014 — ballet artist of the Kyiv Opera (Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre).
• Since 2025 — artist of the “Kyiv Modern Ballet” company.
• Tours: Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Japan and cities of Ukraine.

“The turning point in my career was the period when many guys left the company where I had worked for more than ten years, and the management noticed me as a soloist. I realised that my level was no longer enough and that I had to become better — first of all for myself.
At the same time there were difficulties in my personal life that completely destroyed the former me.
Picking myself up piece by piece, my main principles became: discipline, self-improvement, not complaining and the ability to look at myself from the outside.”

“I have no rituals before going on stage. There are moments when I feel afraid before a performance, but as soon as the music starts and I begin to dance, something like this sounds in my head: ‘there is no way back — only full speed ahead’, ‘I will live this part, not just perform it’ and ‘I will give myself completely, even if tomorrow I can’t get out of bed’.”
