Premieres of the new theatre season

This autumn the theatre is preparing the premiere of the ballet «DiscrimiNATION» set to the music of George Frideric Handel and Valentin Silvestrov.

The project is being realized with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation

The premiere is scheduled for October 21, 6:00 p.m. on the stage of the ICCC Zhovtnevyi Palace

«DiscrimiNATION» is a choreographic fantasy comprising several spectacular, mutually unconnected novellas-parables. These are stories about various forms of discrimination, united by ideas aimed at promoting the values of the democratic, civilized world. The production will make everyone reflect on the problems of the present day and will emphasize the importance of tolerance, focusing attention on the issues of discrimination and the fostering of mutual understanding. The original choreography of Radu Poklitaru and the skill of the theatre’s artists will transform the emotions and divisions of the modern world into a true mastery of dance, creating a unique picture of the unceasing movements of choreography and of society’s inner life.
