The premiere of the new season

We are preparing a premiere — in our 20th theatrical season we will present a special ballet set to the music of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “La Traviata”

“La Traviata” staged by Radu Poklitaru is, first and foremost, a production imbued with deep love for its great source — Verdi’s opera of the same name.
Filled with the beauty of Italian bel canto, this story of the tragic love and death of Violetta Valéry stands as a hymn to self-sacrifice, devotion and resilience — those qualities of which only a Woman is capable.

Premiere — 16 and 17 October at 6:00 p.m.

The project is being carried out as part of the initiative “20 Seasons of Sustainability and Innovation” with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the budget of the city of Kyiv — within the framework of the programme providing financial assistance on a repayable, interest-free basis.
