Competition announced for vacant ballet artist positions
The Municipal Institution «Theatrical and Performing Cultural Institution «Academic Theatre «Kyiv Modern Ballet», in accordance with the Procedure for the Competitive Selection of Creative and Performing Personnel of State and Municipal Cultural Institutions, approved by Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine No. 497 of 01.07.2016
ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION!
To fill the positions of ballet dancers, namely:
Artist — Leading Master of the Stage — 1 staff position
Ballet Dancer of the Highest Category — 2 staff positions
Ballet Dancer of the First Category — 2 staff positions
Ballet Dancer of the Second Category — 1 staff position
The competition will be held on 08 February 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
Qualification requirements for applicants:
1) Artist — Leading Master of the Stage — complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master’s, specialist) and advanced professional training. At least 1 year of work experience in the profession of ballet (theatre) dancer of the highest category. Honorary titles; outstanding choreographic and musical abilities; impeccable professional mastery; vivid creative individuality; broad recognition by audiences in Ukraine and abroad.
2) Ballet Dancer of the Highest Category — complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master’s, specialist) and advanced professional training. At least 3 years of work experience in the profession of ballet (theatre) dancer of the First category. High professional mastery; vivid musical, choreographic and stage abilities; broad recognition by audiences and the public; the performance of leading and principal roles in ballets, as well as major ballet roles in opera productions and demanding solo dance numbers and roles in operettas and musical comedies.
3) Ballet Dancer of the First Category — complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of study (master’s, specialist or bachelor’s) and advanced professional training; for a master’s degree — no work experience requirements, for a specialist — at least 2 years of work experience in the profession of ballet (theatre) dancer of the Second category, for a bachelor’s degree — at least 3 years. Professional mastery, vivid musical, choreographic and stage abilities; the performance of principal and secondary roles in ballets, and of technically demanding numbers in productions of all genres.
4) Ballet Dancer of the Second Category — complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of study (specialist, bachelor’s, junior specialist) with no work experience requirements.
A level of performing mastery as established by the educational institution; good choreographic, musical and stage abilities, professional training; the performance, in individual cases, of roles and simple solo numbers.
Competition programme:
A classical dance class, and additionally, the performance of an excerpt from the theatre’s repertoire.

- a personnel record sheet with a 3x4 cm photograph attached (the sheet form is available at this link HERE);
- a copy of an identity document (copies of the documents must be made in pdf format);;
- a copy of the employment record book (if there is work experience);
- a copy of the document confirming education in the relevant specialty (copies of the documents must be made in pdf format)
