Premieres of the new theatre season

This autumn the theatre is preparing the premiere of the ballet «DiscrimiNATION» set to the music of George Frideric Handel and Valentyn Silvestrov.

The project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

The premiere is scheduled for 21 October, 18:00 on the stage of the ICCC October Palace. Staging by Radu Poklitaru. 

«DiscrimiNATION» is a choreographic fantasy comprising several unrelated, spectacular novella-parables. These are stories about various forms of discrimination, united by ideas aimed at promoting the values of the democratic, civilized world. The production will make everyone reflect on the problems of our time and will emphasize the importance of tolerance, focusing attention on the issues of discrimination and the fostering of mutual understanding. Radu Poklitaru’s original choreography and the skill of the theatre’s artists will transform the emotions and divergences of the modern world into true mastery of dance, creating a unique picture of the uninterrupted movements of choreography and of the inner life of society.
