Competition for ballet artist positions
The Municipal Institution «Theatrical Performing Cultural Institution «Academic Theatre «Kyiv Modern Ballet», in accordance with the Procedure for the Competitive Formation of the Creative and Performing Personnel of State and Municipal Cultural Institutions, approved by Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine No. 497 of 01.07.2016
ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION!
To fill the positions of ballet artists, namely:
- Ballet artist of the highest category – 1 staff position;
- Ballet artist of Category 1 – 1 staff position;
- Ballet artist of Category 2 – 1 staff position.
The competition will take place on 20 October 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
Qualification requirements for applicants:
Ballet artist of the highest category – complete higher education in the relevant field of training (master’s, specialist) and advanced training. Work experience in the profession of ballet (theatre) artist of Category I of no less than 3 years.
High professional skill; outstanding musical, choreographic and stage abilities; broad recognition by audiences and the public; performance of leading and principal parts in ballets, as well as major ballet parts in opera productions and demanding solo dance numbers and parts in operettas and musical comedies.
Ballet artist of Category I – complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of training (master’s, specialist or bachelor’s) and advanced training; for a master’s degree – no work experience requirements, for a specialist – work experience in the profession of ballet (theatre) artist of Category II of no less than 2 years, for a bachelor’s – no less than 3 years.
Professional skill, outstanding musical, choreographic and stage abilities; performance of first and second parts in ballets, technically demanding numbers in productions of all genres.
Ballet artist of Category II – complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of training (specialist, bachelor’s, junior specialist) with no work experience requirements.
A level of performing skill established by the educational institution; good choreographic, musical and stage abilities, professional training; performance, in individual cases, of parts and uncomplicated solo numbers.
Competition programme:
A classical dance class and, additionally, the performance of an excerpt from the theatre’s repertoire.

- a copy of the employment record book (if you have work experience);
- a copy of the document confirming education in the relevant specialty (you need to make copies of the documents in pdf format)
