Competition for vacant ballet artist positions
The municipal institution «Theatrical and Performance Cultural Institution «Kyiv Modern Ballet» Academic Theatre» in accordance with the Procedure for the competitive formation of the staff of the artistic and performing personnel of state and municipal cultural institutions, approved by Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine of 01.07.2016 No. 497
ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION!
To fill the positions of ballet artists, namely:
- Artist — Leading Master of the Stage – 2 staff units;
- Ballet Artist of the Highest Category – 2 staff units;
- Ballet Artist of the 1st Category – 1 staff unit;
- Ballet Artist of the 2nd Category – 2 staff units.
The competition will take place on 08 November 2022 at 17:00.
Qualification requirements for applicants:
Artist — Leading Master of the Stage – complete higher education in the relevant field of training (master’s, specialist) and advanced training. Work experience in the profession of ballet artist (theatre) of the highest category of at least 1 year.
Honorary titles; outstanding choreographic and musical abilities; impeccable professional mastery; vivid creative individuality; broad recognition by audiences in Ukraine and beyond
Ballet Artist of the Highest Category – complete higher education in the relevant field of training (master’s, specialist) and advanced training. Work experience in the profession of ballet artist (theatre) of the 1st category of at least 3 years.
High professional mastery; vivid musical, choreographic and stage abilities; broad recognition by audiences and the public; performance of leading and principal parts in ballets, as well as major ballet parts in opera productions and demanding solo dance numbers and parts in operettas and musical comedies.
Ballet Artist of the 1st Category – complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of training (master’s, specialist or bachelor) and advanced training; for a master’s — no work experience requirements, for a specialist – work experience in the profession of ballet artist (theatre) of the 2nd category of at least 2 years, for a bachelor – at least 3 years.
Professional mastery, vivid musical, choreographic and stage abilities; performance of first and second parts in ballets, technically complex numbers in productions of all genres.
Ballet Artist of the 2nd Category – complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of training (specialist, bachelor, junior specialist) with no work experience requirements.
A level of performing mastery established by the educational institution; good choreographic, musical and stage abilities, professional training; performance, in individual cases, of parts and simple solo numbers.
Competition programme:
A classical dance class and, additionally, the performance of an excerpt from the theatre’s repertoire.
