Competition for ballet artist positions
The Municipal Institution «Theatrical and Entertainment Cultural Institution «Academic Theatre «Kyiv Modern Ballet», in accordance with the Procedure for the Competitive Formation of the Artistic and Performing Personnel of State and Municipal Cultural Institutions, approved by Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine No. 497 of 01.07.2016,
ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION!
To fill ballet dancer positions, namely:
- Leading Stage Master Performer – 1 staff position;
- Top-Category Ballet Dancer – 1 staff position;
- Category II Ballet Dancer – 1 staff position.
The competition will take place on 22 September 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Qualification requirements for candidates:
Leading Stage Master Performer - complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master’s degree, specialist) and professional development. At least 1 year of work experience as a top-category ballet (theatre) dancer.
Honorary titles; outstanding choreographic and musical abilities; impeccable professional mastery; striking creative individuality; wide recognition by audiences in Ukraine and abroad.
Top-Category Ballet Dancer – complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master’s degree, specialist) and professional development. At least 3 years of work experience as a Category I ballet (theatre) dancer.
High professional mastery; striking musical, choreographic and stage abilities; wide recognition by audiences and the public; performance of leading and principal roles in ballets, as well as major ballet roles in opera productions and significant solo dance numbers and roles in operettas and musical comedies.
Category II Ballet Dancer - complete or basic higher education in the relevant field of study (specialist, bachelor, junior specialist) with no work experience requirements.
A level of performing mastery established by the educational institution; good choreographic, musical and stage abilities, professional training; performance, in certain cases, of roles and uncomplicated solo numbers.
Competition programme:
A classical dance class, plus the performance of an excerpt from the theatre’s repertoire.

- a personal records sheet with a 3x4 cm photograph attached (you must download and fill out the personal records sheet, the form is available at the link: Here
- a copy of an identity document (copies of the documents must be made in PDF format);
- a copy of the employment record book (if any work experience exists);
- a copy of the document confirming education in the relevant specialty (copies of the documents must be made in PDF format)
